THOSE EXPRESSIONS. I just LOVE them!!! I really like these characters too. Compared to a number of Sonic OCs/FCs out there that come off as recolors, I feel as though you put serious thought into these characters. Fantastic work!!

Fireworks is basically like GIMP only by another company, but I only use it for glow, etc.
because the line tool's to difficult for me to use ._.

Dude I can barely use any kind of line tool in any program. I ink shit the tedious way. T_T

I know Photoshop isn't your thing, but I'm sure you would be super good at vectoring if you did use it!
